Our FREE Language Arts Resources have helped me over the years to supplement our language arts curriculum. The resources range from preschool up to high school. You will find printables to help you teach phonics and how to organize a paragraph. Our resources will help you teach yours to write letters and write a 5-paragraph essay. As you venture through our language arts printables, you will find that several of our products meld other subjects with writing. This is also true of many of our readers.

There are many different language arts resources used to teach phonics. Letter names and their sounds are always a good place to start. After that, there are vowel sounds, CVC words, and word families to consider. Blends, digraphs, and trigraphs fit in here too! Some of you will want to work on sight words and others of you will not. No judgment here. Use the free language arts resources below to help build or supplement your curriculum.
Helping our students build language can be achieved in several ways. Whether you have a young child struggling with words in general or an older student needing to expand their vocabulary, the resources below can help. When trying to grow vocabulary in our younger students, activities that teach language by naming and describing things are ideal. Below you will find educational slideshows, videos, and games as these are definite winners in building language. Another method to consider adding to your school is unit studies. They help students build schema and background knowledge that they may be lacking. For older students, we included our 4-Square Vocabulary printables. These can be especially helpful for ESL students. And lastly, sight words are also placed in this category as they can be seen as learned rather than taught (I know, this is debatable).
Teaching students how to write encompasses so much! Use the free language arts resources below to encourage yours every step of the way! From learning how to write letters to organizing an essay, there are printables below to help you make teaching easy!
Our Spelling resources are language arts printables that use K-12 spelling lists. Visit any of our Spelling Tasks Packs pages and you will find links to all necessary printables and spelling lists. I have used these spelling tasks packs in middle school as well while accessing other word lists.
For me, reading was the most intimidating task when tackling to teach my kids. I was a struggling reader as a child and even though I grew up to read well, I lacked confidence. I still do in this department. So, please do not think that I am a language arts resources pro… I am not. With the language arts printables below I was able to conquer this fear in my homeschooling.
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
