Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors

Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors

One of our favorite Bible stories is Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors. There are many lessons to be learned from this story. Joseph is beloved by his father and after jealousy strikes his brothers, he is stripped of his fulfilling life to live as a slave. But God doesn’t stop there. Never leaving him, God lifts Joseph up to a high position suited for royalty giving him power and prestige. During all of his trials, Joseph never lost hope or faith in the living God. So, when things get tough or life hands you a bag of lemons, don’t wince, be grateful you are His. The story of Joseph shows how God can use a bad situation for His glory! Bible Story Reading

Alright, I have to be honest with you… there have been times in my life where I would read a devotional or spend time pondering an author’s view of a scripture passage, but never actually sit to read the Bible myself. True. I realize the irony in this. I am not proud to admit this, but it is the truth. If we are not careful, we may fall into the gnarl of reading watered down stories to our children and never sharing the whole story. I am saying this as much to myself as I am to you. Be encouraged and read the whole Bible story of Joseph from the true word of God. Remember that God’s word does not come back void. Joseph’s story begins in Genesis 37:3.

The Story of Joseph Slideshow

There are a lot of slideshows out there. With that being said, I really appreciate the work in this slideshow. Considering one of my sons is an avid old school comic reader (Charlie Brown & Archie), I found this remake of the story of Joseph to be appealing to an older elementary school student. Thank you My Wonder Studio! They offer over 1000 slideshows!
