Earth's Rotation & Revolution

Earth's rotation & revolution

When we study the solar system, we like to take a closer look at Earth and how unique it is when compared to the other planets. While doing this, we investigate the difference between Earth’s rotation & revolution. Over the years, I was always amazed at how often students got the two concepts confused. I guess it doesn’t help that both words start with “r.” In this post, you will find several activity sheets, a slideshow, and guided notes to help you teach your students Earth’s Rotation & Revolution. Throw in a couple of educational videos and you have the makings of a dynamic lesson or two!
