Life Cycle of a Robin Printables

Our Bird Unit Study included these Life Cycle of a Robin Printables. We used these to help solidify the stages at which a bird grows. I appreciate the images used in the Life Cycle of a Robin Printables. Real-life photos are always a terrific way to show kids what you are trying to teach them. Since the photos are of real birds, students are able to see for themselves the changes that they undergo. Anytime we teach a topic, we try to use more than one mode of teaching. When learning about the Life Cycle of a Robin, we added in a book and short video that perfectly coincided with our printable activities.

Introduce Topic with a Book
Reading books focusing on your topic is a surefire way to combine science and reading. From Egg to Robin is an effective science reader for your bird unit study. I’m sure that there are educational books for you to choose from. This just happens to be the one we have!
Life Cycle of a Robin Videos
Not only are books ideal when introducing new content, but videos are also an excellent teaching tool to use in your homeschool unit. The videos featured below give your student a real picture of the natural life stages of a robin. The two videos below feature the Life Cycle of a Robin from the stage of egg, hatchling, nestling, fledgling, and finally adult.
Life Cycle of A Robin Graphic Organizer

The Life Cycle of a Robin Printables start with Graphic Organizer. It is a straightforward way to visually teach your child about a bird’s stages of life. This simple activity is a cut-and-paste graphic organizer. Depending on the ability of your child, you can choose the difficulty of your graphic organizer. This activity is very approachable if you and your students viewed the videos beforehand. You can also choose to have your child fill-in-the-blanks of the stages of the Life Cycle of a Robin rather than cut them out. One of mine cut out the stages and then pasted them onto a poster board to make a larger display. There are several ways to use these Life Cycle of a Robin Printables.
Life Cycle of A Robin Cards

The Life Cycle of a Robin Cards are a great alternative to the Life Cycle of a Robin graphic organizer. Use these cards as a sequencing activity or use the printout as a poster to show the stages of growth. You may find the last two pages helpful if you are leading multiple children. Being able to print multiple sets of cards at once is useful for a co-op too. Our co-op used these in a Bird Book that we made. The students used the cards to create their own Life Cycle of a Robin. Since the cards are lined up, it allows for easy cutting and separating.
