Make Science class easy with these Apollo 13 Movie Questions!
Apollo 13 is an awesome dramatic movie depicting the events that took place during the Apollo 13 mission to the moon. In the end, the mission was considered a successful failure. For years, my students watched this film while answering these Apollo 13 Movie Questions. The key questions revolve around the Space Race and important facts in regards to the Apollo mission. The Apollo 13 movie notes are an effective way to take advantage of the educational value of the movie. It also encourages listening and comprehension skills. These notes help students to pay attention and focus on the content. Help the students to read through the questions prior to the movie. This will help them to be better equipped to hear the answers.
There is a short excerpt on the front page that explains the premise behind the space race and how it affected our advancement into space. There are 26 questions total. 24 of them are short answer questions while 2 are critical thinking questions. I would suggest watching it over the course of 2-3 days. It is a long movie, but when cut into smaller pieces is completely doable for middle school or high school students. I always liked to give my class a few minutes at the end of each class to go over the questions and discuss key elements of the movie. It also allowed me time to check everyone’s progress.
Be aware of the opening scene… there is a verbal sexual reference with Kevin Bacon talking to a woman during the party. You can fast forward over it pretty easy. Other than that, I can’t remember anything else to warn you about.
