Christian Earth Day Printables
Download your own set of Christian Earth Day Printables including an Earth Day emergent reader! Truth is, I have never been a big celebrator of Earth Day. My friends have been surprised by this in the past. Everyone assumes that because I enjoy science related “stuff,” that I would inevitably dig Earth Day. To be honest, I can jump in on an Earth Day celebration if it is presented in such a way that is glorifying to God. The idea of keeping Earth clean, taking care of it, pruning it, farming it, maintaining its beauty, and then enjoying it for what it is, a gift from God, is TOTALLY up my alley! So, use our Christian Earth Day Printables to remind your students of ways we can help to take care of Earth and celebrate God’s creation. DOWNLOAD BELOW!

Why am I hesitant about Earth Day?
Most of us don’t see anything wrong with Earth Day. However, an Earth Day celebration is often guided by someone who isn’t looking to glorify God but rather drive an agenda. Earth Day can become a day for secular scientists and environmentalists to push theories of how Earth is being destroyed by man. Don’t misunderstand me, humans have misused and abused earth in many instances. However, I get a little anti-Earth Day when it turns into a vehicle for globalists to encourage depopulation or Earth worship. I tell you this so that if you are unaware of these issues, you will in turn, research it for yourself. An excellent resource for Christians to begin this journey is from Answers in Genesis, “Earth Day – A Christian Perspective.” I believe it is important as a Christian for us to warn our children about such plots and untruths. To debunk these theories, I turned to the ultimate source of truth: the Bible.
More About Our Christian Earth Day Printables
I decided to study scripture to find out what God says about Earth and our responsibility to it. I used some of the scripture I found during this study within the Christian Earth Day Printables! God created a magnificent home for us, Earth. We are called to populate it, take care of it, cultivate it, subdue it, and have dominion over it.
In this set of Christian Earth Day Printables, you will find 18 printables. The collection includes 9 doodle or coloring sheets, 1 word scrambler, 1 word search, 2 graphic organizers that encourage brainstorming, 4 Draw & Write sheets with writing prompts, 1 scripture study sheet, and an Earth Day emergent reader. The scripture study sheet focuses on the scripture, Genesis 1:26. It encourages kids to define what words mean and asks them questions that guides them to understand the scripture.
Earth Day Coloring Sheets
There are 9 coloring and doodle sheets to choose from. A few of them just states the day that Earth Day is celebrated on while the others adorn a Bible scripture featuring the earth.
Earth Day Writing Sheets
You will find two draw & write sheets with a writing prompt. One sheet features scripture and the other does not. The other two sheets are for students who will primarily draw their responses with minimal writing.

Earth Day Activity Sheets
Amongst the activity sheets, you will find two graphic organizers. One asks students about how they can recycle, reuse, or reduce to help take of our Earth. The other is more general in that it asks the student to identify three ways in which they could help take care of the earth. There is also a word search and a word scrambler. Both of these activity sheets have a word bank at the bottom.
Earth Day Scripture Study
There are several verses in the Bible that could be looked up, however, in this scripture study, the verse, Genesis 1:28 is highlighted. Students are asked general questions to help guide them to interpret what the Bible is stating about our responsibility to the earth and on it. The study sheet is not tedious and could easily spark an in-depth conversation.
