FREE Preschool & Kindergarten Resources! There are so many fun topics you can cover during the preschool years. When I first started teaching my oldest, I got overwhelmed by the sheer volume of options available. If I knew then what I know now, I would focus on the 5 areas of study listed below. These 5 topics are the bread and butter of your child’s educational foundation.
Other skills can be addressed within these 5 key areas of study too. Skills that may include introduction to technology, fine motor skills, listening and following directions, sorting, patterns, the concept of more or less, and so much more! Take a look at our FREE preschool & kindergarten resources!
Bible Truths
I am encouraged by Isaiah 55:11. Read it. Even when my children (or myself) may not fully comprehend a verse, the Lord can use it to prosper. The spoken words of God can transform our hearts and the hearts of our children. Children are like sponges. They will absorb whatever it is we offer to them. Why wouldn’t we use this time to fill them with the good news of Jesus. Discover our FREE Bible Truths activities and printables!
Letters & Sounds
Most of us first think of the alphabet when confronted with teaching preschool. Without letters and sounds, there are no words, no sentences, no language! They are pretty important, right? Do not take for granted that without this skill set, your child will struggle with… the rest of their schooling! Take your time and do it right. Slow and easy… making sure that your child has got their i’s dotted and t’s crossed… okay, not the best pun, but you get my point! Check out our FREE preschool & kindergarten Letters & Sounds section!
Shapes & Colors
Even though recognizing shapes and colors are two different objectives, they can be taught together. Shapes and Colors are all around us. Use what you have at home along with online slideshows, videos, printables, and more! Check out out Shapes & Colors section to explore!
Numbers & Counting
Teaching elementary math is easy and should be simple! Learn how to use everyday manipulatives to create a fun and memorable learning environment for your student. It is easy to count snack crackers, dolls, toes… you get the picture. The Numbers & Counting section offers slideshows, printables, videos, and more!
