Scientific Method Pack
Our Scientific Method Pack features an editable 16-slide PowerPoint presentation, guided notes, work packet, a pack of 2 general lab sheets, and more! You will receive a zip file that includes one PowerPoint and 6 PDFs.
Scientific Method PowerPoint
The Scientific Method PowerPoint defines and describes key terms: scientific method, hypothesis, manipulated variable, controlled variables, responding variables, data, and each of the steps of the scientific method. Examples are given for posing questions and variables. Look at the preview of the presentation to see how visually appealing and engaging this PowerPoint is. When paired with the guided notes, this presentation makes for a great introduction for the scientific method.
Scientific Method Printables
The Scientific Method guided notes are 3 pages long and follow the presentation exactly. There are fill-in-the-blanks for students to complete. These scaffolding notes encourage students to stay on task and retain knowledge. This set of notes make for an excellent addition to a science notebook.
A valuable addition to the Scientific Method Pack is the work packet. This packet is an effective independent worksheet set that reviews the concepts of the scientific method. If a student can answer the questions correctly, then they are on their way to understanding and using the scientific method. The packet is 7 pages long and requires students to use data to create a pie graph, line graph, and bar graph. Students are asked to analyze data to make conclusions as well as write posing questions. Look at preview to get a true sense of how effective this work packet could be with your students.
Also included is a set of four Science lab sheets. These lab sheets work great when conducting any experiment. What I love about these lab sheets is that students can practice identifying variables and parts of the scientific method in whatever lab we are investigating. These are great to have on hand all through the year. Our science lab sheets can be used for elementary students all the way up to high school students. Great practice!
There is also a set of Scientific Method cards and Poster. See preview.
