Thanksgiving Wreath Craft

Thanksgiving Wreath Craft

Some kids just love to do crafts! The Thanksgiving Wreath Craft is perfect for those who light up at the sight of construction paper and ribbon! When the boys in our household leave to go with Dad somewhere, my girls are quick to ask me to play a game, paint their nails, or do a craft. This is how the Thanksgiving Wreath Craft came to be. We had fun putting ours together. We hope you do too!

How to Create the Thanksgiving Wreath Craft

Teaching Thankfulness Printables

Originally, my intentions were to use real fall-colored leaves to decorate the wreath, but it rained on the day we chose to do this activity. So, onto plan B. With that being said, we made a leaf template by printing the PDF out on card stock. We chose to use the maple leaf template and fall-colored construction paper to cut out the leaves. Next, we each picked a scripture to use for the middle of our wreath and cut it out. The two featured Bible verses are I Thessalonians 5:18 and Psalm 100:4. They both focus on giving thanks to the Lord.

Once you have the leaves and the scripture verse cut out, poke a hole at the top of your plate and string it with ribbon. Next, glue your center verse and then glue the leaves around. This may seem silly, but use stick glue for the center piece and white glue for the leaves. It will take awhile for it to dry, so, be patient.

Voila! You are done! Happy Thanksgiving!
