Word Family Sentences Worksheet Set
I created this Word Family Sentences Worksheet set years ago and it is still one of my favorite resources. All of my kids have enjoyed these. It is a convenient resource to use even while in the car running errands. The sentence structure and word usage is easy enough for budding readers to sound their way through. Also, the subject matter is relatable to most kids. If ten sentences is too much for your student right now, you might want to try our other set of Word Family Sentence Worksheets. How to use our Word Family Sentences...
This set of Word Family Sentences features each vowel at least twice. There is at least one page per vowel devoted to its short sound and one page per vowel devoted to its long sound. 18 pages feature word family endings while 2 pages focus on the popular digraphs: wh, sh, th, and ch. Students are given a word bank at the bottom. They will use the word bank to complete the sentences. This set of worksheets serves as effective reading practice. We like to print ours out all at once and create a book. That way we can take it with us in the car and it keeps nicely in their school bins.
