How to use the ABC Posters & Flashcards
At first, this set of ABC posters was created as a cut & paste activity for a young preschooler. At the time, my learner needed to build up their hand muscles. So, cutting the parts of the poster out was an appropriate task for our goal. After cutting, my student glued the letters, pictures, and words to a sheet of construction paper. Not only did it give my child an opportunity to practice fine motor skills, but it also afforded us time to review our letters & sounds. In the end, we had the whole alphabet hung up in our schoolroom!
ABC Posters
This set is effective as posters. To print posters, I suggest using card stock and laminating for durability. With that being said, most people can still get away with laminating regular paper too. These look great and add a bit of color to any elementary classroom.
ABC Flashcards
For those of you looking to create flashcards, you can’t go wrong with this comprehensive set. After downloading the PDF, go into your printer’s settings and choose to print 4 sheets to a page. Next, cut them into quarters and laminate them. These are made more practical when hole-punched in the corners and put on a metal ring. For years, we have kept a set of flashcards in the van. This way we can practice when traveling. Older siblings often help the younger ones go over their letters and sounds. Great teamwork!
