Christian Character Traits Pack
Our Christian Character Traits Pack features the following 26 Christian Character Traits: compassion, teachable, prayerful, obedient, peacemaker, joyful, self-control, persevere, humble, courageous, orderly, attentive, kindness, meek, responsible, honest, patience, thankful, generous, righteous, encouraging, loving, content, forgiving, faithful, and respectful.
In this pack you will receive a zip file containing the following 9 PDF files: Character Traits Posters or Cards, Character Traits Draw & Write Journal, Cut & Paste Sight Word Activity Sheets, Memory Verse Chart, Character Traits Description/Scripture List, Scripture Copy work, Scripture Puzzlers, and Character Traits Tracers. Each character trait has a description and a Bible verse to accompany it. The Christian Character Traits Pack contains a variety of printable activities that can be modified to fit different age levels. You can easily pair these character traits with well-known Bible stories like Daniel in the Lion’s Den for courage or David not killing King Saul for respectful.
Character Traits Posters or Cards
The posters/cards feature a character trait at the top with a brief description, image depicting trait, and then a scripture verse at the bottom. This PDF is important because the rest of the activities hinge on your students having access the information on the Character Trait poster. They will use the verse and description to help them in the other activities. *Keep that in mind. 🙂
This file can be printed to make posters or cards. To create cards, print the file 4 to a page on card stock. You can laminate or not. I like to poke holes in the top left-hand corner and then string them onto a key chain for easy transport and collection. However, the Character Traits posters are what we use when studying this unit. I like to print them on computer paper and then laminate. This seems to be durable enough for my kids to handle them and still tape them up when it is time to move onto the next.
Character Traits Draw & Write Journal
There is one Draw & Write sheet for each character trait. Students are given a writing prompt and room to illustrate. In the set there is a cover sheet included. This allows students to create a journal all for their study of Christian Characteristics Unit.
Cut & Paste Sight Word Activity Sheets
In this activity, students will use the description of each character trait, which can be found on the posters. They will first cut the sight words at the bottom out and then paste them where they belong in the character trait description.
Memory Verse Chart
This is an easy way to encourage the memorizing of scripture. Use it as a positive incentive for your kids or students.
Character Traits Description/Scripture List
Personally, I like to use this when planning. It helps me to keep up with the descriptions and scripture. It is a good tool for kids to use too when they do not have the posters handy.
Scripture Copy work
The scripture copy work features one verse per page allowing students to focus on one at a time.
Scripture Puzzlers
I really like this activity. Cut the scripture verse into strips of paper. Give the students a sheet of construction paper and glue. Allow them to paste the pieces in the correct order to recreate the memory verse. If teachers are looking to increase the difficulty, cut the verse up into words rather than in strips of phrases. This is a fun way to make scripture memory hands-on.
Character Traits Tracers
For your younger students, the character traits tracers are just the thing. Let your student trace the character trait starting each letter at the dots.
