Biography Research Project

This Biography Research Project is geared toward middle school-age students but could be modified to fit a wide range of ages. In this download, you will receive a zip file with 3 PDFs containing a total of 13 pages. These sheets can be used for any person of interest- politician, explorer, inventor, basketball player, etc.

Biography Research Project Includes:

1.) Students complete 2 Biography Research Sheets. Your student will use the internet or book resources to collect their facts and data.

2.) Next is the 5 Paragraph Essay Graphic Organizers. There are three different graphic organizers to choose from. These 5-paragraph essay graphic organizers help students to organize the facts they have gathered and put them into a systematic fashion. You may want to guide them further depending on your student.

3.) After completing the above, students will now begin working on their Biography Research Paper. It is easy to guide your student to write a 5-paragraph essay now that they have the facts needed and the graphic organizer completed. You can choose which Research Paper fits your student better. So, there is room for differentiation.

4.) Next, have your students create a Biography Research Visual. We have encouraged our students to draw images that represent the life of the person on the Illustration sheet. However, some students may opt to print images and paste them on the sheet like a collage.

5.) Student Presentations are effective. We like to require students to present anywhere from 2-5 minutes.
