Implement the Character Traits Draw & Write Sheets
The Character Traits Draw & Write Sheets can be used on their own or they can be paired with a story depicting the character trait. Personally, I like to connect the character trait to a story. This helps the children to identify and understand the what each character trait looks like. For example, read Noah and the ark for the character trait perseverance. You could easily tie the story of Ruth in the Bible with the faithfulness. The options are endless.
Draw a Picture and Write about it
These Draw & Write sheets encourage comprehension and sentence building. They give students just enough to draw and write their most important thoughts about the subject. As a homeschooler, it also gives teachers the opportunity to correct sentence structure, spelling, and grammar.
Create a Journal
Many of you will pick and choose the character trait draw & write sheets you want. However, for those of you who plan to use the character trait activities and printables as a curriculum for 26 weeks, you will want to create a journal. I love it when my kids create writing journals. They become a keepsake for years to come. It is also fun to see how far their writing skills have grown from the beginning to the end of the book.
