Free Alphabet Emergent Reader
The Free Alphabet Emergent reader features the alphabet and a repetitive sentence structure. Is and for are the two sight words repeated throughout this booklet. This is a simple and yet effective reader for early learners. Some readers have used this resource as coloring pages to accompany the study of one letter at a time. Some of the letters focus on Christian elements such as “B is for Bible.” The Free Alphabet emergent reader is also available to you as a slideshow. Use this printable and our other Letter & Sounds resources to create a fun and hands-on learning environment for your budding learner.

Free Alphabet Emergent Reader Slideshow
I love the ability to use a reader as a slideshow. First, a printed version of an emergent reader only lasts for so long. A slideshow can be read over and over again just like their favorite tangible book. Another benefit to a slideshow is that it can be accessed on the road, in the doctor’s office, and at your kitchen table without ever using a printer.
*Bonus: Classrooms teachers can give each student a tangible reader while they use the slideshow to guide students.
How to Print the Free Alphabet Emergent Reader
It is super easy to print our emergent readers. The file you are downloading is a PDF. Some of you will want to use this resource as coloring sheets. This is a great option if you are working with one letter at a time. So, for coloring sheets, print the PDF as normal in full sheets. For the rest of you wanting to print a handheld sized booklet, adjust the settings on your printer to print 2 pages per sheet. Once printed, cut your pages in half, sort, and then staple into reader.
