Candy Bar Lab Pack

The Candy Bar Lab Pack offers two effective process skills labs. One is ideal for classes with students who suffer from peanut allergies, and then the original lab featuring Snickers is also included.  In this hands-on lab, students get to work with measuring mass, finding volume, determining density, and the opportunity to think like a scientist! Students take all of the research and data to then create a hypothesis and conduct an experiment. That is science at its best for a middle schooler!

When you purchase the Candy Bar Lab Pack, you will receive a zip file with 2 PDF’s. The two PDF’s are virtually the same with the exception of the type of candy bars used in the experiment. The first version features Snickers and 3 Musketeers. In the no-peanut version, the experiment features Milky Way and 3 Musketeers.

Each lab is 3 pages long.

In this lab, students will discover the density of water, discuss buoyancy, and using data collected to make an educational hypothesis to test. Effective lab.
